What we build for contract clients

We take on the work that outgrows a standard software agency — too regulated, too complex, too full-stack. We cover the full technical span of a modern software project and go deeper where it matters: regulated medical device software, AI components and system integration from embedded firmware to cloud platforms.

02 — Technology stack

An in-house proven, fully integrated stack

No layer outsourced that we cannot master ourselves. This depth is why we can integrate embedded firmware, cloud backends and clinical frontends with the same team.

A selection of our projects

Much of our work is in healthcare — where the requirements are strictest. The same engineering standard carries into research, industry and deep-tech: from regulated medical device software to clinical platforms with ID Austria integration, AI-driven database enrichment, embedded firmware and connected hardware.

+ 2 more on the team

We are growing

We are continuously hiring experienced developers who enjoy demanding projects — embedded, web, AI. Plan: 8 → 15–20 employees over the next 24 months.

06 — IT security & compliance

Your data stays yours — EU-hosted or fully on-premise

Most agencies can offer you a cloud. We can run the entire stack — including local LLMs — inside your infrastructure.

For a company our size, emergo technologies maintains exceptionally strong security standards. All accounts and access follow a need-to-know basis. We act as a data processor for the Medical University of Innsbruck, which sets the bar for our standards.

IEC 62304 · GTelG · DSGVO

Development compliant with norms and laws — from medical-device software to clinical platforms with ID Austria login.

2-factor with Yubikeys

Hardware-based 2FA across all employees — no SMS, no phishing gap.

Password manager (Bitwarden) & need-to-know

Strict access rights, no shared passwords. Client credentials are managed in isolation.

European hosting, on-premise available

GDPR-compliant hosting in Europe by default. For regulated industries we offer fully on-premise deployment at the customer site.

07 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does emergo do custom development or offer ready-made products?

Both. Our core is contract development: custom software, shipped end-to-end by a senior team. Alongside it we run two of our own AI products you can adopt directly — nabu-med.ai (AI voice assistant for medical documentation) and easy-voice.ai (white-label AI telephony).

Does emergo build regulated medical device software?

Yes. We develop firmware and applications in compliance with IEC 62304 and hand the legal manufacturer the complete technical file for certification — MDR-ready and GTelG-compliant.

Where is data hosted — is it GDPR-compliant?

By default we host in Europe in a GDPR-compliant way (e.g. the IKB data center in Innsbruck). For regulated industries we offer fully on-premise deployment at the customer site.

Who builds GDPR-compliant medical software in Austria?

emergo technologies, based in Innsbruck: medical device software to IEC 62304, GTelG-compliant clinical platforms with ID Austria login, and AI solutions — EU-hosted or fully on-premise. As a data processor for the Medical University of Innsbruck, we meet these standards in daily operation.

What does nabu-med.ai cost?

nabu-med.ai is an AI voice assistant for medical documentation with real-time ICD-10 coding. Cloud from €79 per month (Professional €119), on-premise from €1,250 per month — already in daily use.

Does emergo work with clients outside Austria?

Yes. Research software developed by emergo is in use in roughly 100 countries, and easy-voice.ai runs in production at a leading German health-software vendor.

Which technologies does emergo use?

A fully integrated stack: Python, PostgreSQL and Docker on the backend; React/TypeScript and Qt/QML on the frontend; C/C++ and Zephyr RTOS for embedded; Flutter, iOS and Android for mobile; Keycloak and ID Austria for authentication.

Can emergo run large language models locally / on-premise?

Yes. We build and operate local LLMs and RAG systems on our own HPC infrastructure — relevant for clients with strict data-protection and data-sovereignty requirements.

What does “from firmware to cloud” mean?

We cover the entire technical chain with one team: from embedded firmware through mobile and desktop apps to cloud backends and clinical web platforms.

How does working with emergo start?
